Facilitator Ed Johnson II conducts an evaluation of the morning session of a Choices Level 2 Workshop for the kids. Each session is evaluated and participants are asked to give their honest feelings regarding each exercise in each session. This helps the facilitators to know what the group liked and did not like and it gives the participants a chance to voice various feelings, positive or negative, about each session. Exercises which the group did not enjoy, over a period of several workshops, may be dropped from the agenda all together.

This exercise, called Flag Pole, requires participants to place their hands in an alternating fashion, on a stick. Then, in total silence, each participant must attempt to get the group to move in a specific direction around the room until the entire group decides to stop and plant their flag pole in a certain place in the room. Here facilitator Ed Johnson II, the exercise leader, question this group as to whether they are all in the place that they want to be and asks them how they all decided to get there. Participants are Russell Tillman, Danny Gonzalez and Lisa McShane.

Facilitator Ed Johnson II leads the group in a brainstorm exercise. A topic is put forth, such as; what is violence, and the group comes up with various answers, usually 1 or 2 words that describe what violence is to them. Generally, the board is filled with words at the end of the exercise and it is left up for as much of a session as possible so that everyone has a opportunity to reflect on what each other has contributed. |
