The following pictures are from a Choices level 3 workshop. It was the first time in Choices history that we had participants from other countries. This 3 day workshop held in March 2001 featured invited guests from Venezuela, Chili and Mexico. Lead Facilitator Diane James worked part time for P.E.A.C.E. Student Exchange Program and the 4 visitors from various countries were exchange students that year from this organization. The facilitators have named this workshop the First International Choices Workshop in honor of their guests. Facilitators and participants alike thoroughly enjoyed these three days together. Our guests were Hector Rodriquez who comes from Mexico, Lorena Rivas from Venezuela, Marian Vasquez from Venezuela and Juliana Duque from Chili. The bunked at Carol Tertel's house for the weekend and the group made the trek to Allentown each day with Carol and Diane.

Here facilitator Ed Johnson II leads the group in a brainstorm on current trends in violence which he then compared to trends in violence from as far back as 1900's and further compared it to trends in violence in other countries with information provided from our international visitors. Around the circle are Lorena Rivas, Carol Tertel, Marian Vasquez, Abby Benner, Rachael Tertel, Ed Johnson III, and Sharon James.

In this picture, Mr. & Mrs. Mumbly are caught on camera during a very elusive appearance to honor our international guest. Everyone who is familiar with the Mumbly's knows that they are extremely hard to find and often are never seen at all. Just ask any Choices facilitator or participant about them and you will hear a tale that is worthy of Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Sharon James demonstrates her "action" in the light and lively called add an action. The facilitator who leads the exercise must come up with some sort of action and each participant, around the circle must copy the actions of the people who went before them and then add their own action. This game can be very athletic.

Here Sharon re-demonstrates her action as Carol Tertel, who is next in line, attempts to copy Sharon's action. Who said you were too old to do that Carol? You're only as old as you feel and here it looks as though you don't feel very old!

Dan Gonzalez, Ed Johnson II, Troy Livinghouse, John Livinghouse, Jessica Merwarth and Jennifer Murphy listen as Russell Tillman leads an exercise.

Hector Rodriquez, Evelyn Tillman, Juliana Duque and Russell Tillman sit and relax a bit during one of the breaks while Sharon James shows the camera a bracelet she just acquired from Brea Gonzalez.

Jessica Merwarth, Jennifer Murphy, Sharon James and Evelyn Tillman listen as Russell Tillman conducts a review of Transforming Power which is the central philosophy of Choices.

Our international friends have never heard of a human pyramid. So, Sharon James, Rachael Tertel & Abby Benner demonstrate for them after instructing Juliana Duque, Lorena Rivas and Marian Vasquez to kneel down on the floor. The girls found it to be very fun.

Graduation day finally arrives to mark the end of this 3 day workshop. In the back row are Hector Rodriquez, Facilitator Ed Johnson II, Facilitator Russell Tillman, Evelyn Tillman, Facilitator Carol Tertel. 2nd row is Marian Vasquez and Juliana Duque and in front are Rachael Tertel who earned her level 4 certificate, Abby Benner and Ed Johnson III. Not is the picture but receiving certificates were, Jennifer Murphy, Sharon James, Lorena Rivas,  John Livinghouse & Troy Livinghouse.
